Apply to join our Warden teams

To support its academic mission, the College recognises the importance of providing a high-quality student experience, which offers support and development opportunities to its students in all aspects of student life. The college has 14 halls of residence, accommodating circa 3100 undergraduate students in total. Each hall has a residential Warden who has overall responsibility for fostering an inclusive and safe community for residents, in order to support their academic journey and transition to independent living.

Each hall also has a team of Sub-Wardens who support the Warden in maintaining good discipline and play a key role in community development and delivering pastoral support to student residents. Successful Wardens and Sub-Wardens will have a strong desire to help students develop a balanced approach to university life, have excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and the ability to work effectively in a close-knit team.

These are voluntary positions open to members of the College community - please check your eligibility for specific posts - and applications from those with experience of student pastoral care are particularly encouraged. Post holders are provided with accommodation at no cost (including rent, furnishings and essential amenities).
