CQD Students win Physics Department PGR Symposium Prizes
Yameng Cao and Vignesh Venkataraman win Prizes at the Physics Departments PGR Symposium.
Congratulations to Yameng Cao and Vignesh Venkataraman who both won Prizes for their talks at the Physics Departments Postgraduate Research Symposium (PGR) held at Imperial College London on 30th June 2014.
Their talks were entitled:
‘Information Coherence in Quantum Dots’ - Yameng
‘Simulating open quantum systems with coupled quantum harmonic oscillators’ - Vignesh
The PGR Research Symposium Day was an opportunity for PhD students to show case the world leading research that is being carried out within the Physics Department to internal and external members of College and, to celebrate the thriving post graduate research community. The department’s research covers a comprehensive range of topics in both theoretical and experimental fields. There were a wide range of talks from over 70 Postgraduate students in different research groups. 7 prizes were awarded.
