The Mary Rose was a warship built on the orders of King Henry VIII which sank in 1545. The well-preserved ship and its contents were salvaged in 1982. Imperial College is working with the Mary Rose Trust to prevent further degradation of the artefacts. Image copyright: Hufton+Crow.
