Travel by train
Underground
- East Acton, situated in zone two on the central line, is the closest underground station to Hammersmith Hospital. It is approximately a 13 minute walk from the hospital. Alternatively you can walk for three minutes to bus stop C on Du Cane Road, where you can take buses 7, 70, 72, 272, 283 and N7 to Hammersmith Hospital.
MAP AND DIRECTIONS - White City underground station, which is situated in zone two on the central line, is approximately a 14 minute walk, or a five minute bus ride from the hospital. Buses 72 and 272 travel from White City underground station to Hammersmith Hospital.
MAP AND DIRECTIONS - Wood Lane underground station, which is situated in zone two on the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, is approximately a 16 minute walk from the hospital. If you would prefer to use a bus service rather than walk to the hospital, you will need to walk for two minutes to White City underground station, where you can take buses 72 or 272 to Hammersmith Hospital.

Travel by bus
Please use the Transport for London bus map to help you find your way to our hospital. The following buses stop directly outside Hammersmith Hospital on Du Cane Road:

Cash free buses
Since July 2015, you are no longer able to use cash to pay for your bus fare on London buses. Instead of cash you are able to use an Oyster card, a visitor Oyster card, a contactless payment card or a day travel card.
Travel by taxi
If you travel by taxi, please use the East Gate entrance to campus. The Burlington Danes Building is behind the CostCutter shop on the corner of Du Cane Road.
Parking
There is no general parking at Imperial College London.
There is very limited parking at the Hammersmith Hospital. Parking costs £2.40 per hour. Please ensure you have enough change and display your ticket in the windscreen of your vehicle.
There are a small number of disabled parking spaces situated near the front entrances to the hospital and a few more at the rear entrance. When using a disabled parking bay, please make sure you display a valid blue badge in the windscreen of your vehicle.
Offsite parking
Visitors can also use the Wormwood Scrubs council car park which is situated towards the back entrance of the hospital, next to the Linford Christie Stadium. The car park can be accessed via Artillery Lane and has 201 general and seven disabled car parking spaces. Parking costs £2.20 per hour. Please make sure you have enough change to use the pay and display machines.
