Hello, I'm Križan. I obtained a master's degree in Bioengineering from Munich and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf. During my master's thesis, supervised by Dr. Heuer-Jungemann, I focused on efficiently inducing apoptosis pathways in a 3D cancer cell culture model using a functionalised DNA origami structure. This experience deepened my interest in molecular manipulation and ignited a passion for unraveling biological mysteries.
In October 2022, I commenced an exciting journey as a Royal Society-funded PhD researcher in Dr. Thomas Ouldridge's esteemed team, exploring the realm of synthetic biology. My research investigates DNA nanotechnology, specifically examining the engineering principles behind self-replicating systems in a minimal context.
Beyond the SynBio world, you'll often find me practising martial arts, exploring design, and seeking out charming locales both nearby and far beyond.
