Our one day Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forum will take place on 4 October 2023.
It will address emerging opportunities and challenges in pharmaceutical manufacturing and discuss ongoing research efforts to address these challenges. Invited industry, government and academic experts will discuss different perspectives on the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Topics include new process technologies, experimental protocols, computational models and decision-support tools, e.g., to support Quality-by-Design. An interactive poster session will allow participants to learn about emerging advances and will showcase the breadth of pharmaceutical research being undertaken across Imperial College London, University College London and Queen Mary University London.
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forum is hosted by the PharmaSEL UKRI Prosperity Partnership, a research collaboration established in 2020 that brings together Imperial College London, University College London, Queen Mary University London and Eli Lilly and Company.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing faces evolving challenges, including the growth of new modalities such as peptides and oligonucleotides, the advent of platform technologies, unprecedented time and cost pressures, and increasingly demanding environmental targets. The successful identification, development and implementation of scientific advances to address these challenges requires the collaboration of participants across the pharmaceutical manufacturing ecosystem.
The Forum will take place at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Kensington, London on Wednesday 4 October 2023.
