The facility is run by Dr Marc Morgan with the help of James E. Mansfield. Contact us to explore possibilities for collaboration, to request provision of crystallization plates and with any other questions or concerns. X-ray data collection time should be booked on Sharepoint.
The Facility Manager can usually be found in the X-ray suite, which is in room 5.20 in the Flowers building.

Equipment
The X-ray Crystallography Facility provides
- a Tecan liquid handling robot
- prefilled 2-well MRC plates with 14 different commercially available screens
- a plate centrifuge
- a nanolitre crystallisation robot
- microscopes for viewing crystallisation plates
- additive screens, heavy metal kits and an analytical balance
- the X-ray diffraction equipment required for collecting data from single protein crystals
- liquid nitrogen for freezing crystals
- pucks and dry shippers for synchrotron trips
- tools for manipulating crystals and pucks
- all relevant safety equipment
