At the Quantitative Sciences Research Institute (QSRI), we recognise that science, engineering, medicine and elements of the social sciences are becoming more quantitative in approach. This creates opportunities for mathematical tools and techniques to play an increasingly prominent role in interdisciplinary research. Our affiliated programmes in Precision Healthcare, Metamaterials, Finance and Aerodynamics are all examples of mathematicians collaborating with other scientists to deliver interdisciplinary research with strong potential for impact.
Our objectives
- To facilitate the interaction of scientists from different disciplines around the theme of 'quantitative sciences'
- To help break down language barriers between different disciplines
- To match the right quantitative approaches, tools and capabilities to scientific questions
