The Imperial Network of Excellence in Wound Healing and Regeneration is a multidisciplinary research initiative uniting engineers, scientists and clinicians around the fundamental grand challenge of delivering innovative and ground-breaking treatments for wound healing and scar augmentation that will deliver significant clinical impact and benefit to patients. The Network strives to use and develop core engineering technologies in an unrivalled transdisciplinary research environment where clinical advances in wound healing and regeneration are enabled in a way currently not possible.
The Network is led by Professor Molly Stevens, a world leader in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine. The network includes over 20 multi disciplinary research groups. Thematic areas of strength are listed below with respective cross faculty theme leaders.
