Empty chemical drums can be recycled by VWR. Drums must be empty and have their tops removed. The drums should be placed upside down to ensure that rain water does not enter the drum and cause doubt as to what the contents are.

Where do I put empty chemical drums?
Chemical drums can be left on the Chemistry loading bay in the metal crate or in the crate in Bone courtyard.
All drums must be:
- Empty
- Clean
- Placed in the crate upside down
Who removes them?
- Our metal recycler will collect them
What happens then?
- The metal is recycled.
