The Resolution Policy and Procedure replaces the Grievance Policy and supports the College’s commitment to promoting and nurturing a positive working environment with good working relationships where people are treated with mutual respect. The Resolution Policy and Procedure aims to provide members of staff with a reasonable and prompt opportunity to resolve any complaints and aims to secure constructive and lasting solutions to workplace conflict.

The College encourages employees to raise issues expediently to enable effective resolution.

This policy applies to all College employees in the Learning and Teaching, Research and Professional, Technical & Operational Services Job Families.

The procedures governing academic staff employed by the University are set out in the Annexes to the Appendix to the Ordinances which are available on the Central Secretariat webpage. The informal routes to resolution set out in this policy may be offered to Academic staff as part of informal conflict resolution.
