Year Abroad Opportunities
The Research Abroad and Language for Science courses aim to produce graduate students with a background of knowledge equivalent to that of a student taking a three-year honours degree within the Department of Life Sciences, together with a year’s experience of the teaching, language and research in the life sciences at a university in another country. Following the common first year, students have the freedom to choose combinations of courses which are relevant to their interests and career goals. The experience of wider biological thought and the opportunity to enhance linguistic skills whilst abroad provides the Research Abroad or Language for Science graduate with a background appropriate for a career combining the application of biological skills with European commercial and research opportunities.
