Student Counselling and Mental Health Advice Service
Welcome to the Student Counselling and Mental Health Advice Service
Our Service Intention
The Student Counselling & Mental Health Advice Service aims to enable students to enhance their psychological health and wellbeing, thus empowering them to optimise both their academic accomplishments and their personal development.
Our highly experienced team of counsellors, mental health advisers, mental health study mentors and mental health intervention officers are dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate space to explore any emotional or mental health difficulties you may be experiencing and support you in thinking about what might be most helpful to you during this difficult time.
We recognise that that our students form a diverse community, with a range of lived experiences, backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, abilities, sexual orientation, and gender identities. With this in mind, we are committed to providing care that is rooted in cultural humility, creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all students to feel heard. Our aim is to work collaboratively with you to help you to gain insight into your problems and support you in making choices and changes that feel right for you.
