Pride takes place every June and celebrates LGBTQ+ people and communities. Pride commemorates the Stonewall riots that took place in June 1969 in New York.

Pride 2024 at Imperial

This year Avi, LGBTQ+ Officer for Imperial College Union, has worked with Imperial's Digital Media Lab to produce a mini-docu series. The aim is to raise awareness around the diverse experiences of Imperial’s LGBTQ+ students. You can watch the videos below, and sign up to one of the many events taking place this month across the university.

LGBTQ+ students of Imperial - series screening

10 June 2024, 17.30-18.30

Union’s LGBTQ+ Officer, Avi, and Imperial’s Digital Media Lab are launching a video mini-series showcasing LGBTQ+ students’ experiences at Imperial. This event will screen the three videos (each 3 minutes long) and hold a panel discussion and Q&A with the student participants and production team.

No sign-up needed, just join us on the day in the Union Concert Hall.

Previous years

A range of events have taken place for Pride Month, including talks, social meet ups from Imperial 600, training sessions, and film screenings such as LIVING OUR LIVES, a journey across cultures to discover stories born from the adversities faced by LGBT+ people of the world, from director David Luis Perez Magan, Colourist in Imperial's Ed Tech department.
