Module options by department

The charts below indicate if you can take an elective Horizons module as part of your degree (Degree Credit) and when you will take your I-Explore module. 

These charts are accurate to the best of our knowledge, but the final decision on 'degree credit' options rests with your department. Some specific degree programmes may also have certain restrictions. If you have any queries regarding your options, please contact your departmental administrator. 

You may take a module for Extra Credit or Non-Credit each year you are studying as an undergraduate at Imperial College London, except in the following cases: 

• MBBS and BMB students in Year 3, and MBBS students in Years 5 & 6, are not permitted to take Horizons modules due to clashes with clinical/lab placements or final year projects.
• MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management students in Year 4 are not permitted to take Horizons modules due to clashes with their core degree.
