Developing skills and self-awareness alongside your degree course will position you well for future employment or postgraduate study.
This programme will enable you to understand your strengths and weaknesses and how to apply these to launch a successful career. You will develop a key set of skills, that combined with your academic studies will give you greater self-awareness as well as confidence to succeed in your chosen path in the future. We will explore graduate employment trends across a variety of industries and from small enterprises to multinational corporations. Our expert knowledge is strongly routed in the UK and with students studying STEM subjects, but it is transferable across international job markets.
Participants will learn from experts in the Careers Service at Imperial College London as well as interact with other students on the course.
All sessions will be delivered between 12:00 noon to 13:30 UK time.

- Career Planning - including self-assessment toolkits.
- Career Pathways – exploration of employment and study options.
- Professional Skills – including cultural and business etiquette.
- Written Applications – CVs, cover letter, personal statements etc.
- Assessment Activities – Interviews, online tests and games.
- Networking – Curating knowledge and social capital.
- Internationalisation – Making the most of time overseas.

This programme is designed for current undergraduate students who are starting to plan for their future graduate life. It will help participants to make decisions about graduate employment options and further study routes and will be of specific value to those considering an international career or postgraduate study options.
The programme will be presented in English so a strong grasp of the language is required.
Please note: Any student currently enrolled at a UK university would have access to their university Careers Service and many of the topics covered in this module would likely be accessible within their tuition fee.
