Training overview
"We understand that unconscious bias is the start of the journey at looking into barriers around attainment, progression, and recruitment. It is just one cog in the chain when reviewing cultural competence and structural racism. We also understand that biases come in many shapes and forms from Racial discrimination, Transphobia, Homophobia, Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and more. We hope that by taking this online course, you are open to having the sometimes-difficult conversations that need to take place in order to facilitate true organisational change."
This online e-learning course provides a non-judgmental approach aimed at understanding how unconscious bias operates in the workplace. It is the starting point in understanding how biases can impact individuals and the organisation.
The course will offer you the opportunity to increase self-awareness, learn new information, with the aim to identify actions to foster equal opportunity and begin to address individual and organisational biases with confidence. Following the course, further learning and practical actions such as the unconscious bias action plan, EDI resources, and learning around allyship, are signposted.
