During feasibility, the Project Manager will ensure that adequate arrangements are made to engage with the heads of health and safety for Estates Operations. This engagement can be arranged formally, e.g. via Engineering Review Meetings (ERM), or informally as appropriate.
The purpose of this engagement is to provide opportunities for a considered review of the project’s health, safety and environmental matters.
Along with discussing and understanding the client brief, both individuals will be interested in visiting the anticipated project area, including plant rooms, risers and roofs, to give consideration, not just to issues such as safe access and egress, but to the potential for enhancing the environment generally, from a long term asset management and maintenance perspective.
