Can I use the gym straight away once registered as a Staff Member at Ethos?

Once you've purchased your BasicClub Imperial or Club Imperial Gold membership, you'll be asked to complete a brief online safety induction. Once this is completed, you'll then be able to book your first sessions at the gym.

When is the start date of my membership?

Your membership will start the day you join online.

 

How do I cancel my membership?

Where the payment method is by direct debit, cancellation can be completed by contacting Move Imperial in writing with one full months’ notice

How do I upgrade or downgrade my Club Imperial membership?

In order to upgrade/downgrade your membership please cancel your current membership online and purchase new one.

How do I renew my membership?

All membership can be renewed online using the Ethos Membership System two days prior to their end date. If your membership has passed its end date, you will then need to re-join online using the Ethos Membership System.  

Can I freeze my membership?

Where the membership is direct debit, Option to freeze your membership once per calendar year for a minimum of one full month and a maximum of three full months providing one full calendar month's written notice

What sessions do I need to book in advance?

You'll now need to book any session at Ethos in advance using our online booking system. This includes gym and pool bookings, as well as classes and other activities.

Please ensure you check-in using the screens in our entrance when you arrive.  

How do I make a booking online?
  1. Select 'Activities' for sports hall activities or squash; select 'Classes' for gym and pool session or fitness classes.
  2. Search for the activities/courses that you would like to book
  3. Select the date and time and the available spaces will be displayed
  4. Add the desired time to your basket and proceed to check out 
How far in advance can I make a booking?

Bookings can be made up to six days in advance using the Online Booking System

How many activities or classes can I book at one time?

A fair usage policy applies whereby members are permitted to make a maximum of 2 bookings in any one day.

Can I cancel a booking online?

What is the bolt-on fair usage policy?

If you book an activity and fail to attend three times, your membership will be suspended for a week.

Can I bring a guest?

Members can bring one guest (per court) during a pay-as-you-go racquet sports booking including squash, badminton, and table tennis only.

Only the member with a confirmed booking is permitted to bring a non-member to their racquet sports booking.

The member with the booking must be present for the non-member to be permitted access.

Can children use the facilities at Ethos?

Children (12 yeards old and under) are permitted to use the pool from 09.00 - 11.00 on Saturdays and Sundays. You must be 16 years old or over to use the gym. 

Booking and Cancellation Information

Due to an an ongoing issue with users booking sessions and then not attending without cancelling beforehand, we have introduced a non-cancellation penalty. Any members who miss multiple sessions within a 7-day period will have their booking ability suspended for the following 7 days. Any pre-booked sessions for this timeframe will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Please note: all sessions can be cancelled up until they are due to start via MyLeisureHub. Pay-as-you go members can cancel via ASK (Imperial Staff and Students) or by emailing move@imperial.ac.uk (Other Members).
