Undergraduate study at Imperial is for students who hold an accepted qualification equivalent to an A-level and who wish to study at the university full time.
We don't currently offer any part-time undergraduate courses or undergraduate degree courses that are wholly online.
All applicants need to demonstrate that they meet the minimum entry requirements for course(s) of interest. This includes:
- course competency requirements – demonstrated by the subjects you are studying and sometimes, an admissions test; and
- our English language requirements
The majority of students apply in their final year of high school, on the basis of grades they are predicted by their teachers to achieve.
Only applicants who receive and accept an offer are required to send us their final grades.
Transfer/visiting students
Students who are already enrolled at another university – either in the UK or overseas – should either apply as a visiting student or should contact our Admissions team about opportunities to transfer.
Transfers are not common and are subject to availability:
- The departments of Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics may consider transfers.
- Undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Engineering are not available for transfers.
