Our strategy is to conduct three types of research project — which including Masters level and PhD level within the group.  The three types are:

  • Those with the aim of improving the state-of-the-art in data analysis, usually applied to visual data; examples of outputs from such projects can be found on our “Publications” page;
  • Those that address a particular problem of inference given a set of image/visual/signal data; usually, such projects aim to test a hypothesis about the experiments that gave rise to the data; again, examples of such projects can be found on our “Publications” page;
  • Industrially sponsored projects, which have a particular goal for technology development; we are currently working with several companies that sponsor our research.

You may want to see our latest student project list for available project areas, or specific projects.
