On Friday 20th June 2014, the Physics Department at Imperial College London will be holding a Project Open Day for students in Years 12 and 13.
The Project Open Day is a great opportunity for current A-level students to gain a first-hand insight into studying physics at Imperial and see over 100 exciting projects which our first year undergraduate students have been working on this year.
Visitors can book places to attend either the morning or the afternoon session (both sessions are identical so there is no need to book both). The sessions consist of short lectures and a Q&A with current students. A full timetable for the day’s events can be viewed below:

Time | Activity |

11:00 – 12:30 | Morning session – Places must be booked in advance. Departmental staff will present to visitors in our lecture hall. Visitors will have the chance to put their questions to current Undergraduate students during a Q&A. |
12:30 – 14:00 | Visitors are free to explore a variety of information stands in the Physics Department and speak to staff members. Undergraduate students will be on hand to answer visitor’s questions. N.B. Tea & Coffee will be provided although visitors are requested to bring their own packed lunch. |
13:00 – 16:30 | Visitors are free to explore our Undergraduate Students’ project displays in our labs and speak with them about their work. |
14:00 – 15:30 | Afternoon session – Places must be booked in advance. Departmental staff will present to visitors in our lecture hall. Visitors will have the chance to put their questions to current Undergraduate students during a Q&A. |
