NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre Showcase Event
1st November 2012, Hammersmith Hospital
The mission of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is to translate research into patient benefits. On 1st November 2012, we would like to invite patients, healthcare professionals, and members of the local community, to attend a free showcase event where our BRC researchers will demonstrate their work in a series of interactive exhibits.
Join us for this unique opportunity to learn about cutting-edge clinical research studies currently taking place at Imperial and to engage in discussion and exchange ideas directly with our leading scientists.
We will be joined by colleagues from the North West London Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) and the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust’s NIHR Biomedical Research Units.
You can also put your questions to a panel of health research experts who are closely involved in biomedical research and its funding in the UK.
Finally, delegates can choose to take a walking tour of the NIHR/Wellcome Trust Imperial Clinical Research Facility, which is housed within the newly opened £73 million Imperial Centre for Translational and Experimental Medicine.
