Synthesis in the Agri-Sciences
Synopsis:
The objective of the meeting is to promote scientific interactions between academic and
industrial researchers and to showcase the key role that synthesis plays in the discovery and
development of new agrochemicals New crop protection products are important to help
overcome the huge challenges facing modern agriculture To increase food production in a
cost effective and sustainable manner, against a background of increasing population and
decreasing farmland and water supplies, and loss of existing solutions due to resistance or
regulatory pressures

Call for posters
Posters are invited for display throughout the meeting and authors are encouraged to present
their work in a two minute flash presentation during the meeting. Please submit your
abstract upon registration, by the 26th October 2018 at 12:00 pm. A prize of 50 will be
awarded for the best poster presentation (sponsored by the RSC Agriculture Sector
