The service begins with the premier of a new piece of music. It’s an anthem ‘Sing for Joy’ composed by Pallav Bagchi, a current student at Imperial.

The Verses and Responses are sung to a setting by Bernard Rose Bernard Rose (1916-96) a British organist, soldier and academic.
The music for the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis is by Charles Stanford (1852-1924) from his setting in B flat. Stanford was also one of the founding professors of the Royal College of Music.

The anthem is ‘Geistliches Lied’ (“Sacred Song”) by the German composer, pianist, and conductor Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).

Join us to start the new year and welcome new members to the Choir. Followed by a drinks reception.
