UPDATE: Registration for this event is now closed.

Early career researchers (ECRs) and research students in quantum from across Imperial College London are holding a one-day internal conference to showcase the range of quantum research going on across the university, and make connections with peers. This conference is supported by the Imperial Centre for Quantum Engineering, Science and Technology (QuEST). The keynote talks and panel discussion are now open to students and ECRs from other UK universities.

Keynote speakers are:

Panel moderator: Jessica Wade, Imperial College London

Submit a poster (this can be one you’ve submitted elsewhere before) to demonstrate your research and make connections with early career researchers working on related ideas.

The afternoon session of the event is restricted to current Imperial ECRs and students (undergraduate and postgraduate) only, and to PhD students who will start their courses in October 2024. The conference is free to attend. If you want to submit a poster, QuEST unfortunately can’t pay for poster printing.

Schedule:

  • 9.30 – 10.00: Registration
  • 10:00 – 10:05: Welcome from Imperial QuEST
  • 10:05 – 11:00: Keynote talks from quantum industry leaders

  • Developing your career – what are you doing so far and what do you need?
  • Skills scoping – how are our skills valuable in the world? What skills are we missing?
  • Science communication and outreach – what have you tried and what did you learn?
  • Quantum platform – what would cross-College support for the quantum research community ideally look like?

Vote for your preferred options when you register.
