Nanomaterials for nonlinear optics and photonic sensing
In this seminar, I will review some of the work carried out in my group at MackGraphe, the Graphene and Nanomaterials Research Institute at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Brazil. I will describe the production and characterization of nanomaterials and nanocompostites aimed at plasmon-assisted as well as charge-transfer-assisted surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. In addition, I will review our efforts to characterize and to enhance the optical nonlinearity of 2D and layered materials, such as MoS2, black phosphorus and franckeite.
