Professor Ragunathan is head of Aarupadai Veedu Medical College’s Microbiology Department. She holds expertise in multidrug resistance and has produced numerous publications in international journals. She is actively involved within the University’s community acting as Co-chair of the academic committee, member secretary of the Library Development and Utilisation Committee and convener for the pathological committee. In 2021 she received the Vinayaka Missions Women Leadership Award for her contribution in academics, research and innovation.
