The Rio Tinto Centre for Future Materials at Imperial College London will deliver a step-change in our approach to materials extraction, use and reuse, in a way that is more environmentally and socially sustainable and in support of the energy transition. This requires innovative ideas, new ways of working, and collaboration and co-design across disciplines and universities.
The new centre forms a 10-year project and is led by Imperial College London in partnership with Rio Tinto, and will act as the hub for collaboration with other leading global institutions.
How do we provide the materials needed for the energy transition towards a more sustainable, equitable and regenerative future?
