The Molecular Diagnostic Unit specialises in fast, accurate diagnostic tests for the management of infectious diseases The MDU contributes to the development of new diagnostic methods which, once validated, can be introduced into clinical service via the MDU to optimise the management of patients. The MDU focuses on HIV, HTLV, hepatitis viruses and STIs.
