DNAe was founded in 2003 as a spin-out from Imperial College London and is the first true point-of-need Next-Generation sequencing company. Its mission is to bring life-changing improvements to healthcare and beyond with fast, simple, and scientifically sound products. DNAe creates innovative electronic microchip-based solutions that deliver faster, simpler, and more cost-effective DNA analysis.

Their optics-free, label-free method shifted DNA sequencing from specialised, expensive genome centres into mainstream of local labs and primary care clinics. Since its foundation, the company has grown to encompass electronic engineering, molecular biology, fluidics, and chemistry researchers required to build molecular interfaces and assays on a semiconductor platform.

DNAe's headquarters are in London, UK, and operates from Washington, D.C., to San Diego, CA. It is committed to consistently providing high-quality products and services.

Imperial researcher Professor Chris Toumazou is the Co-Founder of DNAe.
