We have been developing wide-field FLIM endoscopes based on time-gated imaging since 2004 when we demonstrated FLIM at 29 frames/second via a rigid arthroscope.  We implement rapid wide-field time-gated imaging using gated optical image intensifiers from Kentech Instruments Ltd and have extended this approach to flexible endoscopes using either existing clinical endoscopes or by developing  our own endoscopes based on flexible coherent imaging fibre-optic bundles.
