Vigil is the ESA flagship space weather mission, and will provide real-time data for space weather operational purposes from the Sun-Earth L5 Lagrange point.
Mission Summary
The Vigil mission is part of the ESA Space Safety Program.
Imperial College London is leading the delivery of the magnetometer instrument (MAG), a fluxgate sensor that is derived from our long history of instrumentation on science missions such as JUICE and Solar Orbiter.
