Imperial Global Ghana is a regional hub for collaboration that supports research, education and innovation opportunities. It builds on a growing network of African partners in university, government, development, and civil society to support the co-creation of research, education and innovation programmes. It provides an opportunity to understand local and regional challenges, and work in partnership on solutions to global challenges.
We are committed to building equitable partnerships with Africa by creating a sustained, long-term presence in Ghana. This builds on major interdisciplinary research programmes in Ghana, including in medical diagnostics, vaccine manufacturing, and sustainable and healthy cities.
West Africa’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem aligns closely with our vision to support translational technologies and startups. Imperial Global Ghana will develop innovation programmes that support local entrepreneurs and build connections with our academics and innovators. We will work with our alumni in West Africa to provide platforms for future and established science and tech leaders to build networks, facilitate career and business development and exchange ideas.
We are proud to be one of the world’s most international universities. Imperial Global Ghana will help us engage with potential students, expand existing student experience programmes, and provide pathways to career opportunities.
Imperial Global Ghana will be perfectly placed to position Imperial as an institution that is anchored in Africa, with partnerships grounded in reciprocity and collective impact. Professor Hugh Brady President, Imperial College London
