Philanthropic funding from trusts and foundations plays a vital role in Imperial’s mission to achieve enduring excellence in research and education in science, engineering, medicine and business for the benefit of society.
The Trusts and Foundations team oversees fundraising from charitable foundations and organisations, securing support for initiatives across the College.
To achieve our fundraising goals, we undertake research to identify charitable organisations that share our values and goals, develop grant proposals for strategic funding priorities, build relationships between funders, researchers and College leadership and ensure that trusts and foundations are appropriately recognised for their support and kept updated on its impact.
We work closely with researchers and staff across all four Faculties to identify priority projects that resonate with funders and which address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. We also connect trusts and foundations with our cross-college fundraising priorities including the Campaign for the School of Public Health, Science for Everyone, I-X and the Institute of Infection.
Philanthropic support from trusts and foundations is creating scholarships to make Imperial a more inclusive and diverse place, accelerating ground-breaking research from climate change to medical breakthroughs, helping us engage with our local communities in new, meaningful ways and funding world-class facilities across our campuses.
