Course Overview

The course aims to extend and consolidate the language skills of those who have followed a post-beginners course, such as French 2 at Imperial, to enable you to communicate in French with greater confidence and ease. By the end of the course, you should have reached the A1+ standard as described in the Common European Framework.

You should have completed the Imperial after:hours French 2 course or have equivalent knowledge.

None required.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course you will be better prepared to:

• talk about yourself in greater detail, describing your home, work environment and interests
• express opinions in a more sophisticated way, making comparisons and suggestions and using present, future, past (perfect and imperfect) and conditional tenses
• discuss life and culture in France and other French-speaking countries and read authentic material from the French press.
