Course Overview

This course aims to develop all four language skills, with particular emphasis on the development of oral proficiency, at an advanced level. A number of advanced grammatical structures will be introduced and used, according to the dynamics of the class, and you will be encouraged to produce occasional written work.

Required Previous Experience (if any)

You should have completed German 4 on the after:hours programme or have equivalent experience, such as A Level German (B1/B2 standard - CEFR).

None required.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course you will be better prepared to:

• discuss in class, using appropriate German grammar and vocabulary, various aspects of culture, science and society, and express opinions on these
• use an extensive range of advanced grammatical skills in speaking and writing
• engage in role play scenarios using German at an advanced level.
