Course Overview
Building upon previous experience of learning Korean, this course further develops your communication skills to engage more comfortably in a range of everyday and familiar situations. You will continue to enhance linguistic fluency, expand vocabulary, and deepen your understanding of Korean culture and contemporary society.
Through structured conversations, listening exercises, reading of authentic Korean materials, and interactive role-play scenarios, you will improve your ability to participate in conversations on topics such as daily life, travel, cultural interests, and current events.
By the end of this course, you will be able to more confidently handle practical conversational situations, understand authentic Korean texts with greater ease, and clearly express yourself in various everyday contexts.

You should have completed the imperial after:hours Korean 5 course or have equivalent experience.

None required.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course you will be better prepared to:
- engage comfortably in a number of conversations on familiar and everyday topics using appropriate grammatical structures and expanded vocabulary.
- understand and discuss authentic Korean written and audio-visual materials on everyday subjects
- write short, clear texts for practical contexts, including informal correspondence, short reports, and personal narratives.
- express opinions and ideas clearly using relevant vocabulary and grammar
- recognise and begin to use different Korean speech levels and basic honorific expressions in everyday settings.
Teaching and Learning Approach
The teaching and learning approach for this course combines tutor-led instruction, group activities, and independent study supported by individual guidance from the tutor. Classes are conducted face-to-face in a classroom setting and utilise diverse teaching methods, including presentations, multimedia resources, class discussions, and interactive activities.
