- Tutor: Dr Michael Paraskos
On this course Dr Michael Paraskos invites you to join him visiting eight of the most extraordinary and beautiful cathedrals either in London or within easy reach of the capital.
Our focus will be the architectural wonder of these iconic buildings, and this will lead us from the Romanesque style that dominated almost 1,000 years ago, through to Gothic and Byzantine revivals in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Each week will visit a different cathedral and on these site visits explore the history, style and purpose of the cathedrals we see, and discover some of the stories associated with them.
