Rochester lies only 30 miles (48 km) from the centre of London and is easily reached by road and rail. But this charming little medieval city is often missed, despite being home to some of the loveliest medieval architecture in England.

We are invited to join the architectural historian Dr Michael Paraskos on this very special day trip to Rochester.

This will be an opportunity to see and learn about the history of the second oldest cathedral in Britain, and to visit some of the other surviving medieval buildings in this small city, including the remains of its Norman castle.

No previous experience of history, art history, or medieval studies is necessary, and everyone is welcome.

This is a great way to discover more about the area around London, and English history.
