Horizons

As part of the Humanities@70 series of events in 2020, a Change Makers Student Symposium was scheduled for 23 June 2020.

Change Makers is one of three Horizons Fields of Study. Previously known as 'Global Challenges', the field changed its name in 2019 to reflect one of its core values: in Change Maker modules or projects, students tackle sustainable human development issues to find out how they can make an impact in the real world.

In partnership with the College's Student Shapers programme, the Change Makers staff team have been working on three student-led projects during the 2019-20 academic year. The projects seek to better understand student experience ad student decision-making and to strengthen the teaching and learning process for both staff and students.

The Change Makers Student Research Symposium will include the results of student research, including the Student Shapers projects and core student projects. There will be a combination of presentations and art installations and all will involve student participation.
