We normally require at least a 2:1 honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a scientific or science-related subject, but we also welcome applications from candidates with other qualifications if you can demonstrate relevant experience in science communication. All candidates must also be able to demonstrate your potential as a science communicator based on your experiences to date or your performance in an aptitude assignment (see below). We encourage applications both from new graduates and from those with postgraduate research or work experience of all kinds. 

You can apply from November of the year before you wish to be admitted. You must apply online. Please attach your completed aptitude assignment along with your personal statement under the 'personal statement' section of the online application form. Your personal statement should be no more than one page long.

The College has introduced an application fee. If you are suffering financial hardship, you can apply to be exempted from the fee. You must do this before you submit your application so please plan ahead. Please visit this page to find the form for applying for the waiver of the fee.  

The online application form will send your main application to the College Registry (so that references may be taken up, qualifications checked and so on).

All shortlisted applicants are interviewed.  Interviews are held online.
