Setting up and managing a repeat or large-scale commercial project can be daunting, especially when their are multiple clients and stakeholders. But with project management support from Imperial Projects, you need never turn a client down.

Supporting your commercial services

Whether you’re looking to expand your current commercial services to more clients, or need help setting up something new, Imperial Projects can provide full project management service.

At the outset of your project, the team will..

  • carry out due diligence on the client, to ensure they are reputable and able to pay
  • assist with submitting proposals and bids for tenders or government funding
  • help plan the project, including resource allocation, optimization of workflows, and risk management.
  • negotiate competitive fees for your team and use of your facilities.

The dedicated contracts team will then liaise with the client, contractors, Imperial, and other parties involved, to draw up the necessary contracts to protect you and your IP - and agree  how your outputs are to be used.

While the project is in progress, Imperial Projects will handle the following time-consuming activities, taking the burden off you...

  • financial management including cost control, expenses and purchases, payments to external suppliers and Imperial, invoicing of the clients, and credit control.
  • stakeholder engagement, management and reporting

Any outputs from the project, such as reports, can be 'badged' with the Imperial Projects logo, providing clients with reassurance that you’re affiliated to a leading university. Plus, the team will work with the client to promote your work – and ensure your reputation, and that of Imperial, are protected, by overseeing your client’s communications.

Fees for using Imperial Projects

Imperial Projects is not funded by the university, so the team adds a management fee to the client’s bill to cover the cost of providing our services. Any profit is returned to Imperial.
