Launching in January 2025!

Taste Imperial has been working hard to bring you the best wines for your events for years, but now we are proud to introduce our own Imperial College Wine, developed with Winery Chateau Canet in the Langued`Oc, Southern France, a family run Vineyard where brilliant wine is produced sustainably.

Imperial wine types

Imperial Sauvignon Blanc

Using a combination of traditional wine-making techniques, together with modern farming and sustainable practices, Chateau Canet produces a delicious wine with minimal impact on the environment. The resulting fresh, crisp Sauvignon Blanc offers a palate of green fruits with citrus acidity. Perfect to drink solo or to pair with white meats, cheeses and vegetable dishes.

Imperial Syrah-Grenache

A traditional Rhone blend from the Minervois region of the Langued`Oc in Southern France. The marriage of Syrah and Grenache brings a softness and structure, resulting in complex black and red fruit flavours combined with gentle tannins. Our Syrah-Grenache offers a very drinkable wine which can be enjoyed with or without food.

Sustainability

Chateau Canet follows the ecological specifications of Terra Vitis and has achieved HVE level 3, the highest certification in France. The vineyard works with sustainable reforestation companies, planting trees around the world to neutralise the CO₂ emissions from production and the labels on each bottle are made from discarded grape material.

The vineyard does not use pesticides, opting instead for the more natural alternative of male butterfly pheromones which prevents damage from caterpillars.

Harvesting is done at night to avoid oxygen exposure, and nitrogen is used throughout the process to limit contact between the wine and oxygen. This produces a higher-quality, fruit-forward flavour and allows for the minimal level of sulphites to be used.
