The College is committed to developing and supporting staff to work effectively to meet the objectives of their roles. Line managers are best placed to offer one-to-one support and guidance to their staff in meeting their objectives and developing new skills to do so.  The College’s Performance Improvement Policy and Procedure is designed to support staff and managers in dealing with matters relating to performance.

The Performance Improvement Policy and Procedure applies to all staff except those staff in their probation period and academic staff employed by the University who are governed by the procedures set out in the Annexes to the Appendix to the Ordinances which are available on the Central Secretariat webpage.

The Performance Improvement Policy and Procedure replaces the Capability Policy and Procedure and is effective from 1 August 2023.
