In this issue

As we enjoy the summer, we hear from Imperial researchers studying weather patterns to make persuasive arguments around climate change, meet the team creating a synthetic genome and delve into Imperial's STOIC video archives. We also learn how flying can become green, meet the academic encouraging us to eat our greens, a student with a passion for plays and hear from the alumni creating a smart cane revolution.

We also catch up with Imperial's University Challenge team who made history this year, sit down for a cuppa to learn about sickle cell disease and catch up with pioneering alumni in healthcare.

The print edition of Imperial is distributed to over 120,000 alumni, supporters and friends and is available to pick up on campus.
