How can you engage audiences online? What digital tools and platforms are suitable? How do you know your engagement has been successful?

In this online session run on Zoom, you will experience tried and tested methods to engage audiences online and consider the potential benefits and limitations for audiences. The session will take you through the essential steps to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate online engagement, while also exploring key considerations for inclusive digital engagement. 

Key areas covered: 

This session will cover:

  • Discussion of real examples representing a range of digital platforms and tools: merits and limitations  
  • Key considerations when planning online engagement
  • Digital evaluation methods and tools for assessing success of online engagement 

Who is this session for? 

This session is available to Imperial College staff members and doctoral students who have attended our Core Engagement Masterclass or similar training, or have equivalent experience in carrying out public engagement.

Learning Outcomes  

On completion of this session, you will be better able to:  

  • Identify the needs of different public audiences in online spaces  
  • Determine appropriate digital platforms and tools to engage public audiences

  • Evaluate your online engagement activities by using appropriate digital methods
