You can register for a free online alumni account through Plexus – our online platform and community for alumni.
Alumni can request an exclusive Imperial alumni email address.
Your new email address will end in @alumni.imperial.ac.uk.
The mailbox is hosted by Google and works like a regular Gmail account. Read more about the alumni email service.
If you complete this form we can set up your Imperial email address for you. Please note you can only apply for an Alumni email address after you have graduated and your student record has transitioned onto the Alumni database.
Imperial facilities
Alumni are entitled to discounts on membership at Ethos, Imperial’s premier, state-of-the-art sports centre based in South Kensington.
This four-storey facility is set on the North side of Prince's Gardens and houses:
- The state-of-the-art Energia fitness gym
- A 25-metre deck-level swimming pool
- A sauna, steam room and spa pool
- An air-conditioned exercise studio with semi-sprung flooring
- Strength and conditioning facilities
- Two squash courts
- Five badminton courts
- Nine metre climbing wall
- Sports therapy treatment rooms
- Licensed café bar

Summer 2024 rates for alumni - Prince's Gardens
- Single en suite: £97 per night
- Double en suite (for one): £111 per night
- Twin en suite: £125 per night
Summer 2024 rates refer to the period of 1 July - 22 September.
All rates shown exclude breakfast, which is available at an additional price of £14 per person, per day.
How to book
Book through Celesta Venues.
Alumni must quote "alumni special summer accommodation" and provide their alumni membership number (CID) at the time of booking to qualify for the special rates. The alumni discount can be only applied to one room per booking. If you do not know your CID number, contact alumni@imperial.ac.uk.
Rates for alumni are subject to availability and must be booked by email at reservations@celestavenues.co.uk. They cannot be booked online. Please also note that Amex card payments are not accepted.

Conferences and meetings
Imperial has over 100 meeting rooms, lecture theatres and classrooms, which are centrally located on our main campus in South Kensington.
Imperial’s venues are perfect for conferences and meetings of all sizes and benefit from excellent audio-visual technology, in-house catering, delegate accommodation and event management.
Facilities on the South Kensington campus include a contemporary meeting and conference suite, state-of-the-art lecture theatres and a choice of breakout classrooms which can be joined to create larger spaces and can be used as dedicated meeting or seminar rooms.
Parties and celebrations
If you are looking for a venue for a private function, Imperial’s party and dining venues in London are sure to impress your guests.
You might like to consider Imperial’s historic grade II listed Victorian townhouse on the South Kensington Campus, 170 Queen’s Gate, or, for larger events, the modern Queen’s Tower Rooms are ideal.

If you'd like to relive your student days with a visit to the Union Bar, you are very welcome!
All you need to do is make sure that you can prove that you're an alumnus to satisfy the terms of their license. The easiest way to do this is to download the Imperial Plexus app or navigate to Imperial Plexus via a web browser on your phone. Login, and show staff your account on arrival. You'll be issued with a day pass that you can use until the bar closes. You may bring up to four guests on any one visit.

If you're a recent alumnus and you still have your College identification card, you can present this to bar staff instead.
Please note, you don't have to be a member of the Union to use the bar, you just need to be able to prove that you're an alumnus.
Yes, our library facilities are open to alumni.
- To use the library at the South Kensington campus, you need to apply online for alumni library membership. Select the Imperial College Alumni option from the drop-down menu and complete the application form. After completing the form, please bring your interactive alumni services account login with you to your chosen library, where you will be asked show one of the required forms of Identification, including proof of address.
- Alumni can borrow up to five items from the Central Library, and have walk-in access to a limited number of online resources, check with the library in advance to confirm which ones are available to you. Use of these resources is strictly for non-commercial purposes. Please be advised that once you are no longer a current student of the College you are not entitled to access most of the Library’s electronic resources, such as ft.com (Financial Times subscription) and EBSCO Business Source Ultimate.

- Imperial College London alumni may have free access to RefWorks for as long as the Library maintains a subscription to this service. To maintain access to any references you have saved to your RefWorks accounts whilst at College you must transfer your account to an alumni account before your College username and password expire.

Discounts, memberships and continuous learning
Career support from the Business School doesn’t stop once you graduate. You continue to have access to a variety of online resources including company and industry information and databases of national and international executive recruiters.
You can also continue to have one-to-one appointments with a Careers Consultant in person, over the telephone or via Skype throughout your career. We can help update your CV, review your applications, practice interviews or talk through your career plans. We can also help you negotiate new job offers or how to navigate your next steps, as your career develops.
A 20% loyalty bursary is available to alumni for the Full-Time MBA available, or 10% for our part-time MBA suite including the Global Online MBA, the Executive MBA and the Weekend MBA.

Imperial's Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication offers a 20-week evening class programme in languages, arts, humanities and the sciences running from October to March.
Imperial alumni get an Associate Rate discount on any of the following classes:
- Language: English Conversation, Spanish, Italian, Russian, French, Japanese, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, German, and Korean.
- Arts: Music Technology, Photography, Introduction to Film, Opera, and Art & Art History.
- Humanities: Creative Writing, Science Fiction, and European History.
- Science [NEW]: Introduction to Science, Psychology & Neuroscience, and Human Biology & Medicine.
