Ali Uppal is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School. He is a macroeconomist with research interests in monetary economics as well as banking and finance. His recent work focuses on questions relating to how monetary policy and financial stability interact with each other as well as with the real economy. Ali holds a BSc from the London School of Economics, an MA from Yale University, and a PhD from the University of California San Diego. Prior to joining Imperial College London, Ali spent time at the UK Treasury, Bank of England, IMF, and the Federal Reserve Board.
