Data centres play a crucial role in the UK’s digital infrastructure. With over 460 data centres nationwide - over 170 being in London - the UK is one of the leading global players. Yet, data centres come with significant climate impacts. Singapore has been driving investment in sustainable transition for its tropical data centres. In this workshop, the Centre for Climate Finance & Investment, with the Singapore Green Finance Centre, brings scholars from the UK and Singapore to present their research report on the development of green data centres in Singapore and discuss with participants the implications for the UK.

The workshop will begin with a presentation and panel discussion, shortly followed by Q&A. Participants will then be invited to refreshments and network with our team after the workshop.
